This father of one is looking for an experienced live-in, full-time nanny to look after his son (aged 2 years and 3 months). The family are located in Battersea and are able to offer the nanny accommodation in the form of a flat located above the flat the family are living in. The flat includes the nanny’s own bedroom and bathroom facilities. The family have no pets.

The chosen candidate would ideally start as soon as possible and this is a sole charge position. The job is full time (45-60 hours a week) for up to 12 hours a day with provisional hours of 7am- 7pm from Monday- Friday. There may be occasional travel (2/3 times a year) for a maximum of a week and times when the nanny would be happy to take full charge (days and nights) of the boy for periods when the father may travel for holiday (this would be a few times a year and the father would give the nanny proper notice to ensure her availability to take this on). The family are also looking for a candidate who can occasionally babysit in the evenings and/or the occasional weekends when necessary.

Key job responsibilities will include; handling the morning routine and dropping off and picking up the little boy from nursery/school daily. The nanny will also be expected to handle all the son’s laundry, keep the kitchen and son’s bedroom clean and tidy, prepare healthy and nutritious food for the son and keep the house organized and tidy. It is essential to have a confident and experienced nanny who has had plenty of experience creating a routine, managing behavior and creating clear boundaries to allow the little boy to thrive, develop and feel secure. Someone with a good amount of experience at managing key transitions (e.g potty training, creating independence, supporting speech development and good eating habits etc) would be much appreciated. A candidate with an understanding of how children develop and learn and how to support this would also be highly valued. The family are looking for a positive, calm and kind candidate who is tidy and proactive. Fluent English essential. A driver preferred.
